By Dr. Michelle Barr, Host of The Move Show

Welcome to The Move Show, where we release the junk that keeps us stuck and step boldly into our divine destiny. I’m Dr. Michelle Barr—spiritual coach, counselor, and former crisis and trauma therapist—and today I want to speak directly to those moments when you feel frozen, overwhelmed, or unsure about your next step.

Just yesterday, during an interview for an upcoming summit, someone asked me the single most important thing I tell people when they’re suffering, struggling, or paralyzed by fear. My answer was simple—and it’s the heart of today’s episode: Look for the opportunity.

When life feels like disappointment, heartbreak, or despair… when the evidence around you suggests nothing is working… that is the exact moment to shift into curiosity. Opportunity is always present. Always. And when you train yourself to look for it—even in the smallest form—you open the door to what comes next.

Today’s message is inspired by my book Loving What’s Next: What You Want Can Be Yours Now. This isn’t magic thinking. It’s an energetic stance. Once you’ve decided what you want, owned it fully, and begun visualizing daily, the next step is saying yes to the life that is already in your field. Your future isn’t waiting somewhere far away. It’s here, pressing against the edges of your awareness, asking to be allowed in.

But to receive it, you have to let go of the bar you’ve been clinging to. Like a trapeze artist suspended in that powerful, unknown space between one bar and the next, you must be willing to release the familiar and fly through the void. That “in-between” is where all possibility lives—but if you refuse to let go, you stay stuck exactly where you are.

Are you resisting change that’s actually an answered prayer? Are you holding your breath instead of opening your arms? Spirit always works in your favor—but free will means you must go first. When you take inspired, aligned action, the universe rushes in to meet you with guidance, resources, and support.

Loving what’s next is not about pretending everything is perfect. It’s about refusing to create from scarcity or lack. Even when you’re hurting, frustrated, or uncertain, you can still ask: What is one inspired, aligned action I can take today? One action moves energy. One action creates momentum. One action opens a door.

When you shift into positive expectation—living in excitement and alignment for what’s already unfolding—you collapse time. You magnetize your next chapter toward you. You stop surviving the moment and start shaping it.

I’ve lived this work for over 18 years, with thousands of clients and in my own journey. And I can promise you this: when you stop fearing what’s next and start loving it, everything changes.
Say yes. The life you want is already here. Let’s move.
